Itinerary :
Day 1: Marrakech, High Atlas, Dadès Valley
Depart from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 AM and journey through the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass, stopping for panoramic views. Pass through Berber nomadic villages, continue to Ouarzazate, and cross the Valley of Roses into Dadès Valley, known for its “route of the thousand kasbahs” and unique “monkey fingers” rock formations. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in the Dadès Valley.
Day 2: Dadès Valley, Todra Gorges, Erfoud, Merzouga
After breakfast, visit the stunning Dadès Gorges. Travel on a road lined with kasbahs to Todra Gorges, featuring 200-meter-high cliffs. Following a free lunch, proceed through the Tafilalet palm grove and reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Enjoy a hospitality tea upon arrival at the hotel. Walk on the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, relax, and savor a Berber dinner before spending the night at the hotel.
Day 3: Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Night in the Desert
Begin the day with a Moroccan breakfast, then embark on a 4×4 tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes, discovering nomadic life, wild oases, and small desert towns. Visit Khamlia for a gnawa music concert and tea. Return to the hotel, then ride dromedaries to the Great Dune of Erg Chebbi to witness a beautiful sunset. Enjoy a Berber dinner and drum music at the desert camp, and sleep in nomadic tents under a star-filled sky.
Day 4: Merzouga, Rissani, Draa Valley, Ouarzazate
Wake early to see the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, head to Rissani to explore its traditional souk. Day 5: Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakech
After breakfast, depart Ouarzazate and visit a movie studio if desired. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, known for its role in films like Gladiator and Babel. Return to Marrakech, admiring the Berber-inhabited mountain villages along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, concluding the 5-day tour.
