Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley
Commence your journey at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your Marrakech hotel. Traverse the breathtaking Tizi N’tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters, as you venture towards Ait Benhaddou. Explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah and savor lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, journey to Ouarzazate, pausing near the Atlas Film Studios for a photo opportunity, and then enjoy a panoramic view of the Taourirt Kasbah in the city center. Continuing onwards, you’ll head to Kelaa M’gouna or Boumalne du Dades for an overnight stay at a charming hotel, surrounded by the natural beauty of Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga
After breakfast, set out towards Tineghir, passing by Boumalne du Dades and enjoying panoramic views of the Dades Valley. Continue to Todra Gorges via Imider and Tineghir, stopping to admire the breathtaking canyon views and hike through its magnificent landscapes. Journey through Tinejdad and Erfoud, visiting a local fossil craft workshop in Erfoud. Finally, arrive at the captivating Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you’ll embark on a camel trek to a traditional nomad tent for a magical overnight experience under the desert stars.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration
Awake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise atop a dune close to the camp. Day 4: Merzouga to Fes via Scenic Routes
Begin your final day with a journey northward, passing through the Tafilalet palm grove and the picturesque Ziz Valley. Marvel at the stunning views from high viewpoints, then make a stop in Midelt for lunch and relaxation. Continue through the Cedar Woods, where you may catch a glimpse of monkeys, before reaching Ifrane, often dubbed the “Moroccan Switzerland.” Finally, arrive in Fes around 6:00 PM, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
